强化ELL课程
The Pioneer Academy 密集的 English Language Learning (IELL) Department was developed to assist students as they move from low-intermediate English proficiency to higher proficiency levels, 让他们在大学预科课程中取得成功. 学生学习阅读 & 文学，学术词汇，听力 & 来说,语法 & 写作，雅思/托福备考，以及其他主要科目课程.

国际 students who wish to enter the Pioneer Academy 强化ELL课程 must first take a TOEFL Junior placement test which determines their English proficiency level. Students who score below the requisite English proficiency level for regular college-preparatory classes are then recommended for 密集的 ELL classes. 课程期间，学生还将参加三次托福初级考试, 每季度末一次. Passing any of these tests is a prerequisite but does not limit students from graduating from the ELL program and entering a regular college-preparatory curriculum.
